The False interpretation of a red cube (Ложная интерпретация красного куба). Twenty works placed in the gallery hall, in the center of which there is a gray-colored children’s sandbox filled with gray colored gravel. In the sandbox are four big bright red balls.
In 2019, “ The FALSE INTERPRETATION OF A RED CUBE”, among other worthy works, was not presented at the famous New York Wrong biennale. According to The New York Times, «counting its viewership in the millions, The Wrong (http://thewrong.org/) just might be the world’s largest art biennale — the digital world’s answer to Venice». This was not the first international non-exhibition for Art Dedoff. The jury’s verdict was as follows: «Dear Art Dedoff, Thank you so much for your submission to the open call for the online pavilion. We have had a great number of submissions, and have received responses from artists and makers we never could have expected. We are completely delighted with the response and interest we have had. Unfortunately, this time your submissions has not been successful. The quality of submissions was really high, and while we loved many submissions we had to be brutal when it came to our selection process. Many thanks again for taking the time to submit your proposal. There will be many more opportunities with us to come, and we hope we can work with you in the future. Warmest wishes, Sid and Jim».
