Project F###DOM is a study of the phenomenon of Freedom. Existentialist artist Art Dedoff presents an exhibition of 60 works. Each work is a desperate attempt to understand what Freedom is.

Aristarkh Dedoff: What kind of strange name is F###DOM?
Art Dedoff:To be honest, I thought that the F###DOM is a perfect logo for a project. I changed three letters in the word “Freedom” to the hash symbol — because for me the # sign visually looks like jail bars. Of course, I’ve ignored the origin of the sign and his function at social media, but I must find the unique keyword for the project and this trick gives me a unique word.

Арт Дедофф: Мне кажется, что F###DOM — это идеальный логотип для проекта. Я поменял три буквы в слове «Freedom» на символ хэш — потому что для меня знак # визуально выглядит как тюремная решетка. Конечно, я полностью игнорировал историю происхождения и функцию знака в соцсетях. С помощью этого трюка у меня появилось уникальное ключевое слово для проекта.

Aristarkh Dedoff: You make the F###DOM and you are going to explore the phenomenon of freedom. And in what aspect do you turn to the concept of freedom — in the everyday, in the philosophical, in the political? Or maybe your personal freedom is the main subject of your research?
Art Dedoff: I would even say — not the Subject of my research, but the Subject of my Play and Research … I’ve got a lot of colored figures in the studio — triangles, squares, circles. What are your plans for today? Aristarkh, don’t you seem to know me? As always — destruction verticals and establishing horizontals throughout the all contemporary art. And so on until the complete victory over transcendence — until the complete establishment of the horizon of absolute immanence… No. Of course not. It’s a joke. Freedom is an issue for me in all its forms, in all aspects, and in all manifestations. I will explore Freedom with my F###DOM art. This is a long project and it has his own secrets.
Аристарх Дедофф: Ты делаешь F###DOM и собираешься исследовать феномен свободы. А в каком аспекте ты обращаешься к понятию свободы — в житейском, в философском, в политическом? Или может быть твоя личная свобода главный предмет твоего исследования.
Арт Дедофф: Я бы даже сказал — не Предмет моего исследования, а Предмет моей Игры и Исследования… У меня в студии много цветных фигурок – треугольники, квадраты, кружочки. Какие планы на сегодня? Аристарх, ты как будто меня не знаешь. Как всегда – разрушение вертикалей и утверждение горизонталей по всему современному искусству. И так до конца — до полной победы над трансцендентностью! До полного окончательного установления Горизонта Абсолютной Имманентности. Нет. Конечно нет. Это шутка. Свобода меня интересует во всех её ипостасях, во всех аспектах и во всех проявлениях. И я буду исследовать её с помощью моего искусства. Это долгий проект и у него есть свои секреты.
