Instrumentum

INSTRUMENTUM (from the Latin Instrumentum Regni) — a series of works which was started as an
attempt to comprehend the Russian phenomenon of «dream of tightly tightening the nuts», consisting
in the sweet folk expectations of strong order and strong power….

INSTRUMENTUM at Royal Academy of Art’s  Summer Exhibition 2019. (Monday 10 June – Monday 12 August 2019) Burlington House, Piccadilly, Mayfair, London W1J 0BD, UK.

This work was adorably & honorably not selected for the famous Summer Exhibition — the world’s largest open submission art show which brings together a collage-like display of art in all mediums – prints and paintings, film, photography, sculpture, architectural works and more – by leading artists, Royal Academicians and household names as well as new and emerging talent. The 2019 year’s committee members under coordination of acclaimed British artist Grayson Perry ( Royal Academicians Stephen Chambers, Anne Desmet, Hughie O’Donoghue, Timothy Hyman, Barbara Rae, Bob and Roberta Smith, Jane, and Louise Wilson and Richard Wilson) took a short look at this work and delivered their highest verdict: «Dear Art Dedoff, Thank you for submitting digital images of INSTRUMENTUM. The judges have given careful consideration to your entry and we regret to inform you that it has not been selected for the next stage. Thank you for supporting the Royal Academy and we very much hope that you’ll submit work again in future years.» If this is not success yet, then at least this is the beginning of success! My congratulations!

INSTRUMENTUM (от латинского Instrumentum Regni) — серия работ, которая была начата как попытка осмыслить русский феномен
мечты «о закручивании гаек», заключающийся в народных ожиданиях сильного порядка и сильной власти….
